We are heartbroken for our state, in particular the beautiful McKenzie River Valley, after the devastating fires that ravaged through the land burning over a million acres. Loss of life and loss of homes hits close to home for us here at Silvan Ridge, and we knew we had to help give back to our amazing community. We have partnered with the United Way of Lane County to donate funds where they are needed most.

Now through October 31st, Silvan Ridge will be donating a portion of all tasting room and online sales to the United Way Wildfire Response Fund.

“We know we are still in the early stages of responding to this crisis, and will continue making grants prioritizing both immediate response as well as longer term recovery efforts as needs shift,” said Jared Pruch, United Way’s Director of Community Impact. “With the support of donors, we hope to continue investing in community organizations working directly with those most affected by the fire in the weeks and months to come.”

Funds go to organizations addressing the needs of those most impacted by wildfires, particularly in McKenzie River Valley, and provides immediate assistance to local nonprofits meeting the needs of families and individuals who have lost their homes, their businesses, or have been otherwise impacted by the 2020 fires in Lane County.
